We are honored to share that a longtime PRFG supporter and devoted senior pug adopter is once again sponsoring adoption fees for all senior pugs (age 10+) adopted between now and June 3rd.
Since 2021, this generous family has welcomed four senior pugs into their home. Their current trio, Danny Boy, Odie, and Dozer, continue that legacy of love and second chances.

Would you like to open your home and heart to a pug? The pugs we rescue vary from young and healthy to senior with ongoing health issues, but they all have one thing in common: They are looking for loving, stable homes to call their own.

We rely on the support of caring and committed foster homes to help pugs in need. All of our pugs stay with foster families until they find their forever home. We provide the medical care - you provide the shelter and love.

Your support helps us save pugs in need. In 2024, we spent nearly $300,000 on medical care alone. We rely entirely on donations, and 100% goes directly to medical bills, food, supplies, and rescuing dogs from unsafe situations.

If you own or know of a pug that needs rescue in Florida or Georgia, please complete the online Surrender Form and submit a photo. One of our volunteers will contact you to discuss the situation and help the pug.
PRFG is a 2025 Grey Muzzle Grant Recipient
We’re thrilled to announce that we are one of 119 grant recipients awarded funding from the $1.57 million distributed by The Grey Muzzle Organization to support lifesaving efforts for senior dogs.
This critical funding supports animal shelters and rescues across the USA, France, and Nepal in developing senior-focused programs—including medical and dental care, surrender prevention, hospice care, and adoption incentives. This Grey Muzzle Grant will allow us to help senior pugs in our care.
A huge thank you to Grey Muzzle and their generous supporters for making this possible and for believing in a time where every senior dog finds safety, love, and a soft landing.
